Based on the FIFA World Rankings released in April, 2006, here are the current group strengths:

Group A: Germany (19), Costa Rica (26), Poland (28) and Ecuador (39)
Group B: England (10), Paraguay (33), Trinidad & Tobago (47) and Sweden (16)
Group C: Argentina (8), Cote D’Ivoir (32), Serbia and Montenegro (46) and Netherlands (3)
Group D: Mexico (6), Iran (22), Angola (58) and Portugal (8)
Group E: Italy (14), Ghana (50), United States (4) and Czech Republic (2)
Group F: Brazil (1), Croatia (24), Australia (44) and Japan (17)
Group G: France (7), Switzerland (35), Korea Republic (30) and Togo (59)
Group H: Spain (5), Ukraine (41), Tunisia (21) and Saudi Arabia (34)

Here are the average ranking for each group:

Group A: 28.00
Group B: 26.50
Group C: 22.25
Group D: 23.50
Group E: 17.50
Group F: 21.50
Group G: 32.75
Group H: 25.25

Not much has changed, Group E is still the strongest by far, followed by Group F. Obviously not a scientific study, but interesting.
